About ART13 London

Art13 London is London’s new art fair for modern and contemporary art, presenting a truly global perspective and showcasing art from 1945 to the present day. With over 70% of galleries exhibiting at an art fair in London for the very first time, this is the most eagerly anticipated art fair in over a decade.

The first edition will showcase 129 leading galleries from 30 different countries showing thousands of artworks, including painting, sculpture, photography, prints and editions or multimedia. http://artfairslondon.com/introduction Hazem Harb Born in 1980 in Gaza City, Palestinian artist Hazem Harb splits his time between Dubai and Rome.  In 2004, Harb enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy and graduated from The European Institute of Design in the city in 2009. Harb's work has been exhibited internationally in group and solo exhibitions in the UK, USA, Italy, Palestine and Jordan. His  first solo exhibition in London, Is this your first time in Gaza? had the central poignant message highlighting the checkpoint and suffering it inflicts on Palestinian travelers.

In 2011, Harb was awarded a residency at The Delfina Foundation, which was also supported by A. M. Qattan Foundation. Harb has won numerous awards, including being selected as of one ten artists for A. M. Qattan Foundation Young Artist of the Year 2008.

While using a variety of techniques, Hazem Harb deals with a number of core themes including war, loss, trauma, human vulnerability and global instability. He continues to explore his own brand of multi-media, conceptual art using all the tools at his disposal.
